Yonela Faith Ndlangalavu
Biography
Yonela Faith Ndlangalavu, an Economics Master’s student from South Africa, is passionate about health economics and policy research. Her research focuses on the financial and economic costs incurred by TB patients accessing first-line TB treatment, comparing self-administered treatment and facility-based directly observed therapy (DOT). Yonela has extensive experience engaging with healthcare facilities and conducting fieldwork, ensuring data collection aligns with patient-centred approaches. She is committed to addressing health inequities and improving access to care for vulnerable populations. In the future, Yonela hopes to influence evidence-based policies that reduce the economic burden of disease and strengthen healthcare systems.
