Biography

Tsogolo is a Lecturer for the Social Work Program in the Department of Sociology and Population Studies, at the University of Malawi. She is currently a PhD candidate in Social Work at the University of Cape Town. Her PhD explores the role of social workers in disaster risk management in Malawi, with the aim of mitigating the psychological trauma caused by natural disasters. She previously obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work, specializing in social development and policy from the University of Pretoria and was a 2018 Canon Collins scholar. Tsogolo is passionate about promoting the social work profession in Malawi and investing in the social development of the girl-child to fulfill her potential.
