Tony Magwira

Biography

Tony Laston Magwira is a Special Needs and Inclusive Education specialist whose teaching career has steadily progressed to include Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Holding a strong belief that critical engagement with students’ creative abilities in the context of social and environmental justice adds to addressing sustainability concerns, he initiated PaMtondo ESD, an institutional change initiative for Phalombe TTC to challenge student teachers research, model and scale-up sustainable alternatives for household fuel needs. Tony is studying M.Ed in Environmental Education at Rhodes University, contributing
knowledge on learning, sustainability and social and education systems change.
