Biography
Tholakele is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Pretoria. Apart from studying, she is a lecturer of African Languages at Ngwane Teachers College. She is passionate about the role language plays in education hence her study focuses on pedagogical practices in teaching the First Language in a classroom environment made up of learners from diverse linguistic backgrounds. She is an advocate for minority languages and hopes her study will be influential in informing, shaping and framing Language in Education Policies in future.
