Tendai Chiwandamira

Biography

Tendai Chiwandamira, is an experienced freelance graphic designer with thirteen years of advertising agency experience. He noticed a gap in visual communication for visually impaired individuals. This disconnect from visual stories intrigued him.  In 2018 Tendai pioneered and designed an inclusive tactile book that caters for both sighted and visually impaired readers. Tendai’s book provided a way for equal access to visual stories. Driven by the ideals of inclusivity, Tendai’s tactile graphics guarantee that no one is excluded from enjoying graphics because of their visual impairment. Tendai holds a Master’s in Graphic Design and is now pursuing his PHD in that subject.
