Siyasanga Kumalo-Mjenxane

Biography

Siyasanga is a Canon Collins Scholarship recipient. She was awarded the scholarship in 2001 whilst reading for her LLB degree at the University of the Western Cape. After completing her LLB in 2004, she spent time in Europe completing a course in International Commercial Arbitration at Utrecht University, Netherlands. Siyasanga has over 15 years of experience in the legal fraternity, having worked in both the private and public sectors.

Siyasanga is passionate about social upliftment through education, skills development, and leadership development initiatives. Siyasanga was inspired to start a good cause and non-profit company when she attended the One Young World global conference in 2013. The Back2Basics Foundation was founded in 2015 solely to serve and empower disadvantaged communities.

Siyasanga would like to see the Back2Basics Foundation play a vital role in inspiring and empowering young leaders in disadvantaged communities to reach their full potential and make a difference in their communities.
