Siyanda is a Masters candidate in Applied Development Economics at Wits University. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics, and a BCom Honours (with distinction) in Applied Development Economics. He believes that economics, when people-centered, can be a powerful tool in addressing pressing societal issues such as poverty and inequality. In the future, Siyanda hopes to become a researcher, government policy advisor, and economic justice advocate. He is also committed to using his education and excellent communication skills to educate and empower individuals and communities in understanding and engaging with economics.
