Sindisa Monakali from Khayelitsha, Cape Town is an education activist that believes in education for liberation and as a tool to solve social inequalities. Sindisa is a human rights defender and a chairperson of Equal Education which is a movement working towards quality and equal education through analysis and activism. Currently, he is pursuing his Masters Degree in History at the University of the Western Cape, focusing on land occupation in post-apartheid South Africa.
