Biography
Sikelela Ndlazi is a senior lecturer of Human Rights Litigation and Foundations of Human Rights at the University of South Africa. He has published articles in accredited journals within the areas of democratic constitutionalism, human rights and artisanal and small-scale mining. He is a critical thinker who challenges the contemporary efficacy of pre-determined philosophies and norms with the goal of reconfiguring new understandings of law. He is passionate about mentorship of others, as he himself benefitted from mentorship. Further, he is pursuing a PhD in Law, with specialisation in Legal Philosophy, at the University of South Africa. Ndlazi is a member of a community engagement programme that mentors high school scholars to train them in legal research and writing.
