Biography
Shakira is a land and housing activist and an activist educator. She is also a 2020 International Visitors Leadership Programme alumni and has just completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Land and Agrarian Studies. She is deeply passionate about land and housing justice and enrolling for the MPhil in Southern Urbanism is not only aimed at refining her activist work but also lends credence to her belief that activists should form part of the knowledge making process.
