Ruchir was born and raised in the city of KwaZulu-Natal Durban. His academic achievements include graduating with an LLB in 2012 and an LLM (Environmental Law) in 2015 from the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Howard College Campus. His relevant professional work experience includes an internship at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, practising as an Environmental Lawyer (Pollution & Climate Change) at the Centre for Environmental Rights in Cape Town. He has since gained admission as an Advocate (Barrister) with the General Council of the Bar of South Africa. He strives towards the protection of human rights and adminstration of justice through his personal, academic and professional life.
