Biography

Reabetswe Maputle is an MSc candidate in Medicine, specializing in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her research interests focus on drug development and discovery, particularly for combating infectious diseases. A strong advocate for diversity in science, she is a SHEstem Ambassador, an Eskom Expo for Young Scientists Judge, and an active member of Black Women in Science. Reabetswe’s achievements include winning first prize at the 38th Beijing Youth Science Fair. She is committed to advancing the pharmaceutical industry by improving medications and fostering opportunities for emerging scientists in this critical and evolving field.
