Biography
Professor Makoelle’s experience in education spans more than 22 years in South Africa, during which time he was a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the University of Johannesburg and an Education Lecturer at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Cape Town. He has written and published extensively on inclusive education and school leadership. He has also reviewed postgraduate courses and programmes for many universities, supervises Master and PhD students and has evaluated research theses for several universities in South Africa. He is passionate about inclusive education and has devoted his research work within the framework of Participatory Action Research, informed by notions of critical, reflective practitioner and transformative epistemologies.
