Biography

Ntobeko Mlotshwa, a PhD student in Town Planning, is passionate about social and environmental justice in the built environment, reflecting his commitment to creating sustainable and equitable cities and communities. He gained valuable experience as a research assistant in a multidisciplinary zero waste project, collaborating closely with waste pickers through creative and ethnographic methods. His ultimate goal is to become an activist of justice, researcher and lecturer, leveraging his expertise to drive positive change through co-productive research and learning. He is driven by a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to the field of urban planning and make a lasting impact.
