Biography
Nombuyiselo Zondi is a black township girl from the streets of Soweto. The young passionate teacher believes that reading is the core learning skill at the Foundation Phase that all other academic activities depend upon. She is committed to study factors leading to poor reading outcomes in indigenous African languages (Sepedi) at the Foundation Phase level, in order to improve quality and teaching reading in Sepedi classrooms. In this field the transformation of education is needed, as well as fertile ground for making an international impact through considered research.
