Nomagugu Nyathi is a PhD Candidate at the University of Pretoria. She has 8 years of work experience in the social justice and charity sectors in South Africa and Zimbabwe. while she has general passion for human rights, her current research explores children’s right to be heard in a criminal justice context. This is often intimidating and silencing space for child victims, witnesses and offenders. Nomagugu looks forward to using her research findings to expand child rights scholarship and to actively contribute to law and policy reform in this regard.
