Biography
Nelson holds a BSc (hons) in Laboratory Sciences (first class) from the University of Malawi College of Medicine and a MSc degree in Molecular Biology of Pathogens (distinction) from the University of Glasgow. His specific research interest lies within the molecular mechanics of disease cause, pathogenicity and the consequent interventional outputs; specifically, drug action and resistance. For his PhD Nelson is looking at antimalarial drugs mode of action using a combination of “omics” technologies and genetic manipulation of malaria parasites.
