Biography
Medina Moosa, from Cape Town, South Africa, is a passionate investigative researcher with a Master’s in Historical Studies. She is currently completing an interdisciplinary, joint PhD in Political Science at Ghent University in Belgium and Historical Studies at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. Medina has received extensive training in the peace, security, and development field and hopes to take this further into field-level conflict negotiation. Medina hopes to contribute to the investigation into counter-insurgency programs and to rethink policies and strategies for future social justice. She currently works around issues of liberation struggles, political Islam and counter-insurgency in South Africa and the Middle East.
