Biography

Maya Schkolne is pursuing a PhD in Psychology, focusing on identity-related cognitive dissonance among undergrad students. Her research explores how students can constructively navigate identity challenges, with implications for pedagogy and education policy. Previously, she served as Head of Year Two at African Leadership Academy, a Pan-African High School in Johannesburg, where she gained valuable experience in educational leadership. Maya is committed to leveraging interdisciplinary approaches to transform education and foster inclusive learning environments.
