Mammelo Lesoetsa
Biography
Mammelo Lesoetsa is a Sign language interpreter with 20 years of experience. She has collaborated with government and civil society organisations to bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing communities. She is eager to deepen her understanding of disability theory, policy analysis and gain research skills that will empower her to contribute to inclusive policies across various sectors. Through pursuing her studies with a post-graduate diploma in disability studies at the University of Cape Town, she will amplify her skills to foster social justice issues that intersect with disability rights. She has extensive experience in creating inclusive and equitable learning environments.
