From Kanyamazane, Mpumalanga, South Africa, Lungelihle Sinokuhle Dlamini is a Master’s student in Water Resource Science at Rhodes University, researching plastic pollution in freshwater systems. A cum laude graduate in Environmental Science and a published author, she serves on the executive committee of BookHive. This nonprofit organisation makes reading accessible to all and has hosted literacy festivals for disadvantaged primary schools. Passionate about sustainability, cultural heritage, and empowerment, Lungelihle strives to level the playing field where every dream matters, bridging science, society, and sustainability through her work while inspiring African youth to see education as a tool for transformation.
