Biography
Likwa Sithole is a Community Development Practitioner with 3 years experience in project design and implementation in southern African communities. He has served as the Deputy Chairperson for the Wits Reproductive Health Institute Community Advisory Board interlinking the research institute with vulnerable communities in Southern Africa. As an expert in community development, Likwa is advocating for the integration of Circular Economies within urban and informal settlements, which will positively impact and contribute towards building inclusive, safe and sustainable human settlements (Sustainable Development Goal 11). He is pursuing an M.Sc. in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing and is focused on understanding human settlements and their contribution to environmental degradation and climate change.
