Biography

Lameck is an environmental social scientist whose work bridges the critical gap between high-level policy, scientific research, and the lived realities of rural communities in Southeast Africa. His PhD research employs participatory methods to examine the environmental injustices and insecurities associated with human mobility in transfrontier conservation areas. Apart from research following Cyclone Idai in 2019, he co-designed water adaptation projects with affected communities, demonstrating his dedication to tangible, on-the-ground impact. His goal is to transform conservation approaches in southern Africa into a system that can actively support community resilience and environmental security.
