Biography

Itumeleng holds a Masters in Political Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is interested in gender politics, climate change and food security, particularly how these intersect with policy. Through her work she hopes to bring the voices of rural women in agriculture to the centre of activism and policy making. Itumeleng is the former Deputy President of the SRC at Wits. She currently serves in the Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security society committee, and is an international student ambassador at NUIG.
