Innocent holds a first class degree in Development Studies from Midlands State University. With his interest in poverty and underdevelopment in Africa, he is pursuing an MSc in African Studies at the University of Edinburgh. In exploring underdevelopment, he is committed to taking a bottom-up approach to socioeconomic and political transformation, drawing on the views of impoverished communities in rural areas. This stems from his rural background, which was characterised by exclusion and poverty. Rural development, particularly focusing on empowering rural youths in education, participatory development and leadership is thus his vision for Zimbabwe.
