Biography

Humphrey Panyanja is a lawyer at the Legal Aid Bureau (Malawi) with four years’ experience in strategic litigation, advocacy and research. He routinely represents young offenders, victims of domestic violence and capital offenders. He is part of Malawi’s legal team facilitating the re-sentencing project of death row inmates. Outside of work, he volunteers for the Community of Sant’Egidio, Reprieve, and Young Christian Workers. With the Master of Laws, specialising in Human Rights law, he hopes to advance effective human rights advocacy in Malawi.
