Biography
Gerald Mandisodza is a social justice activist and researcher whose interests revolve around critical issues in democracy, gender equality and human rights. He completed his MA in Labour Policy and Globalisation, which focused on trade unions’ internal democracy and social movement unionism in NUMSA. Gerald is doing his PhD in Law at the University of the Western Cape. His project investigates how rural women’s preferences for dispute resolution (forum shopping) influences the development of customary law institutions in South Africa, as well as the pace at which they can change towards improving rural women’s property claims.
