Biography
Emmanuel was previously a Canon Collins Scholar whilst studying for his Master’s at the University of Leeds. He is interested in the relationship between institutions and practice and is concerned with advancing minority rights in Zambia, particularly focused on the LGBT community. His PhD is an examination of Zambian legal frameworks which currently discriminate against homosexuals, and he aims to use the philosophical writings of John Rawls and the principle of justice-as-fairness that such a legal framework is reprehensible.
