Eli Kodisang has over 30 years’ experience working as an educator and organiser in trade unions and social movements in SA. He is a skilled popular educator, and the former Deputy Director of Khanya College, an NGO that uses education to build and strengthen social movements. Eli won the 2019 Scholar’s Impact Award for his role in organising reclaimers of recyclable and reusable materials in Johannesburg. His research interests focus on hidden histories of the working class in South Africa and the role of historical memory in social movement praxis.
