Biography

Chimwemwe Chithope-Mwale is a Malawian lawyer with eleven years experience in promoting and protecting human rights of the indigent and other vulnerable populations, and ensuring good governance. He works for the Legal Aid Bureau and offers legal aid in diverse civil and criminal matters, including legal representation in capital cases. He heads one of the Bureau’s four regional offices. He is pursuing an LLM in Human Rights to upskill and effectively contribute to fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal 16: Ensuring rule of law and access to justice for all, and building just, accountable, effective and inclusive institutions and societies.
