Biography

Bronwyn Bowles-King holds a BA (Hons) in English Studies and is completing her MA, a mixed-methods study of African youth-written literature. Her goals include promoting the recognition and status of African youth-written literature as a field of academic study and growing publication opportunities for young Africans. Bronwyn is a youth advocate driven by her experiences overcoming education barriers, health challenges, unemployment, and workplace bullying. She believes survivors can do much to help youths currently facing these issues. Through youth mentorship and the Pan-African publication she founded, The Journal of African Youth Literature (jaylit.com), she has contributed to this mission.
