Ansela Hannah Sloman

Biography

Ansela is an aspiring human rights lawyer from Cape Town, South Africa. She is currently pursuing her LLM specialising in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa through the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. She is passionate about strategic litigation as a way of achieving greater access to constitutional rights for marginalised communities. Her specific areas of interest are land reform, combating corruption and maladministration, and socio-economic rights. She has interned at the Legal Resources Centre and Ndifuna Ukwazi Law Centre, where she assisted attorneys with research on both urban and rural land reform.
