Andani Tshiitamune

Biography

Andani is passionate about applying scientific methods to research strategies to mitigate health problems faced by society. She is concerned about how poor health afflicts African countries and through her research studies she hopes to find innovative approaches to produce vaccine/drugs that even the poorest countries can afford. She will be pursuing her Masters in Molecular and Cell Biology at UCT. Her research will focus on developing cost-effective universal influenza A vaccine candidates in plants. Beyond her studies she is part of the Habitable Planet workshop.
