Allison Fleur
Biography
Allison Fleur is completing her MA in Documentary Arts. As part of her research, she will create a 30-minute documentary exploring the structures that perpetuate gender-based violence, normalise sexual abuse, and prevent justice. She made a short experimental horror film about black hair dysmorphia that featured in global film festivals and won the Student Film Award at the 2022 uMgungundlovu Film Festival. Her goals include creating activist cinema and media that promote, enforce, and invest in practical and humanitarian change in the most vulnerable, marginalised communities.
