The Power of Us: Ten Years of Building Together

We are delighted to share our bold plan for the next five years, inspired very much by the donors, partners, scholars and alumni in our network. Every year we are able to award more scholarships to students from across southern Africa due to the generosity of our network of supporters from all over the world.

The Change Maker Awards open on 11 July, and on the same day, we are hosting a live online support workshop with Dr Innocent Tinashe Mutero. Dr Mutero is a seasoned grant writer and multidisciplinary scholar with dual PhDs in Ethnomusicology (University of Pretoria) and Peace Studies (Durban University of Technology). 

We are looking for initiatives that respond to local needs with practical, community-driven impact. Three projects will each receive R20,000 in funding. Only CCT scholars and alumni are eligible, and past Change Maker Award recipients from the last five years are not eligible. 

Canon Collins Scholars are invited to submit contributions to the inaugural Canon Collins Review.This publication is committed to sharing and advancing the knowledge and practical experiences among scholars of social justice to benefit the region, continent and its people. It is multidisciplinary in nature and strives to be inclusive in scope by accepting contributions which promote the intersection of theory and practice in social justice in Africa.
