Biography
Chikumbutso Ndaferankhande is a creative writing enthusiast who is very passionate about raising the next generation of creative writers in Africa by establishing writers clubs in Secondary Schools. He is the President of the Malawi Writers Union (MAWU), a national writers’ body that looks into the welfare of creative writers. MAWU is an affiliate of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) that is housed in Accra, Ghana. Chikumbutso has a Bachelors of Journalism (University of Malawi) and a Masters of Intellectual Property (Africa University, Zimbabwe). He is an award-winning novelist (2018 NALA Award). He plans to publish the manuscript, “Chronicles of an inmate” by 2025.
