Celine Intombiyenhle Masheleni

Biography

Celine is a PhD student at the University of Cape Town with a strong background in Development Studies. She received a Masters degree with distinction for her dissertation on digitised banking in South Africa, and has a particular interest in social and labor movements within the digital economy. In early 2021, Celine founded the African Creatives Directory, a resources and collaborative space for young African digital workers. Celine is passionate about African development and is dedicated to strengthening systems of social development response in order to promote growth and progress on the continent having grown up in Ethiopia and being Zimbabwean by nationality.
