Biography
Sibusiso Mangciphu is an Honours student in City Planning at the University of Cape Town and holds a undergraduates degree in Landscape Architecture from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. His work is driven by a commitment to spatial justice and the lived realities of communities in informal settlements. He is particularly interested in how unequal access to basic services shapes urban life and challenges conventional planning practices. Sibusiso plans to pursue a master’s degree focused on reimagining planning approaches in informal settlements to foster dignity, equity, and community agency.
