Temwani Nyama

Biography

Temwani is an educational leader driven to advance language and literacy development in African schools. Over the last few years, she has expanded her service in basic and higher education through teaching, teacher training, board advisory roles, curriculum & learning design, and policy development. Here she has worked to establish strategic approaches to systemic language development through classroom practice. Pursuing a Master of Arts in African Languages & Linguistics at the University of the Witwatersrand, Temwani is committed to building schools into multilingual literacy-rich environments that foster social imagination and creative thought while also enacting justice and equity.
