Pakama Maqubela is currently pursuing an LLM (structured) in Comparative Labour Law, with a thesis focusing on The Enforceability of restraint-of-trade clauses in the context of Wrongful Termination of Employment. She has served as a student legal representative, advocating for students in disciplinary proceedings involving academic dishonesty, assault, and labour matters. Pakama is passionate about protecting workers’ rights and advancing fair labour practices. She hopes to contribute to the development of equitable employment law frameworks that balance employer interests with employee protections, while promoting justice and accountability within academic and professional settings.
