Biography
Brandon H. Andrews, from Pacaltsdorp, George, is a community-engaged scholar and music educator currently pursuing a PhD in Ethnomusicology at the South African College of Music at the University of Cape Town. His research lies at the intersection of archives, musicking, and community, with a focus on reimagining the sonic landscapes of the Khoekhoe and San diaspora through sites of memory. He holds a master’s degree in music education and remains actively involved in community music initiatives. Through his research, Andrews explores how the musical arts can contribute to social well-being.
