Biography

Theshaya Naidoo is a PhD (Law) candidate at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, researching the implications of neurotechnology on the South African judicial process. She holds an LLM in Medical Law, an LLB (cum laude), and a Bachelor of Social Science (cum laude) in law, criminology, and forensic sciences. As Central President of UKZN Golden Key (2025), she advocates for academic excellence and leadership. With expertise in health law, human rights, and emerging technologies—AI, neurotech, and cryptocurrency—her research seeks to address the ethical and legal challenges these innovations present. Theshaya is actively developing tech solutions to promote equality.
