Biography
Njabulo Zwane is a trained historian with more than 5 years of experience as a public policy researcher. He is currently studying for an MA in History at Wits University on the decolonial history of the racialisation of the tax burden in South Africa. As an associate researcher at the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA), he has coordinated multiple book projects on various topics, such as the role of the arts and the youth in national development, small enterprises and the state of the post-1994 state. He has also written on the history of black youth identity formations and the politics of cultural work. He hopes to contribute to the archive of scholarly social commitment and change.
