Yasha Nair is an aspiring Counselling Psychologist from South Africa, currently pursuing her Masters degree. She is interested in the psychological effects of historical trauma within South African communities. Yasha is particularly committed to making mental health services more relevant and accessible to South African society and is passionate about empowering people through healing. She has actively pursued this during her studies by volunteering as a telephonic counsellor at LifeLine Western Cape and mentoring underprivileged school children to become prosperous and responsible citizens. As a future psychologist, she hopes to help close the treatment gap and support previously disadvantaged communities.
