Biography

Takunda Aaron Chimutashu, known professionally as ZEN ISA, is a film director, author and pan-African activist pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in the Motion Picture Medium at AFDA. A filmmaker, writer, and cultural advocate, he explores post-colonial memory, gender, and youth activism through his studio, Immortal African. His work examines how history and identity shape African societies, using film as both a mirror and a catalyst for change. Takunda aims to create powerful African stories that bridge divides and inspire social dialogue, building a continent-wide network of storytellers reimagining Africa’s shared future.
