Biography

After a varied teaching and business career in the UK, Japan and RSA, Moya discovered her passion for the Social Sector in 2007. The realisation that her skills and contribution at work could be so much more meaningful spurred her on to assist non-profit organisations to thrive. In 2010, she started Women in Philanthropy SA with the aim of broadening the social development sector’s reach through knowledge sharing. In 2012 she trained as a resource mobilization professional through Rhodes Business School. Moya has had the privilege of working with many organisations on their long-term financial sustainability to further their social impact – most notably: The Clothing Bank (now Taking Care of Business) , Habitat for Humanity SA, FutureMe, Ikamva Labantu and Gold Youth Development Agency. She joins Canon Collins Trust as their Sustainability and Fundraising Manager.
